Children's Faith Formation

It's time for Children's Faith Formation registration!
New this year, we will offer CFF during two time slots for your convenience!
Classes will be:
Sundays, after Mass (about 10:45)–noon
Wednesdays, 6:30–7:45 (during Mass, Adoration and Reconciliation)
Registration fee for Children's Faith Formation and Youth Ministry:
$45 for 1 child
$90 for 2 children
$120 for 3 or more children
The Faith Formation program at Assumption uses a more encompassing hands-on approach called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS). CGS is a child-directed program used and loved by families, schools, and parishes all over the world. We work in a purposefully prepared space called the Atrium and seek to ignite or cultivate the child's love for God and our faith. Rather than give the child information to remember, we instead present selections from scripture or liturgy and invite the child to choose their work in response as they quietly reflect and grow with the Spirit of God. It is awe-inspiring to see how much the children learn and grow in their relationship with God, even those as young as 3 years old!

Level I: Age 3–Kindergarten
Level II: Grades 1–3
Level III: Grades 4–5*
*Our Level III atrium is still being developed, so in the meantime, we are using the Catholic Children's Bible program by Saint Mary's Press. This is an engaging program that helps children grow to a deeper understanding of scripture.

Class space is limited and will be filled on a first come basis. The earlier you register, the greater your chance of getting the class time you need.

Children's Faith Formation
In the event of unsafe road conditions due to winter weather, our children's faith formation classes will be canceled by 8:00am Sunday mornings via email.
Please check your inbox before coming in!
Youth Ministry
In the event of unsafe road conditions due to winter weather, youth ministry classes will be cancelled by 5:00pm Sunday afternoons via email and/or text message.
Call for Volunteers
Do you love your faith? Do you enjoy working with children? Yes? We need you! We are on the lookout for additional volunteers for Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) and Children’s Faith Formation (CFF).
If your week is too busy and you don’t have extra time, then CLOW is perfect for you because you’re already at Mass (9:30am Mass only)! We are in need of leaders and aides; no experience necessary. You can help as little as once a month, or as often as every Sunday.
If you have an hour and a half to give after 9:30am Mass each week (until noon), then CFF sounds like a perfect fit! We need two classroom aides for this year, plus a hall monitor to help with bathroom breaks. If you are interested but cannot commit weekly, we need subs as well.
