Anointing of the Sick

The sacrament of healing, Anointing, is available to those who are in need of it at any time. The parish provides this sacrament at healing Masses within the vicariate at various times throughout the year. Those who have just learned that they are in need of surgery or who are suffering from a difficult illness may request the sacrament at any time. It was once known as the “Last Rites" which could only be given at the end of one's life. This is not the understanding of the sacrament of Anointing. Contact us

"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." (James 5:14)
